Game Highlights:

Matt Constance shut down the Chiefs offense, giving up only one hit and striking out 10. Constance helped his cause with a hit and a run scored. Brett Ramirez also scored, with RBI's by Scott Theisen and Zak Widlak.

     After having already come back from two deficits, the Rocks saved their best for last with a four run 5th inning, giving them an 11-10 victory. Brett Ramirez took the win in relief and helped pace the offense with two RBI's. Dan Fuhst tied the game in the third with a three run single, while Markus Olind had two hits, three runs scored, and two RBI's, including a game tying double in the fifth. The game winning hit came via a single off the bat of Matt Constance in the 5th. The boys are 2-0 to start the season. Way to go Rocks!

Game Highlights:

The Freshman Rocks took their first loss of the year due to a number of mental mistakes and a lack of timely hitting. The only Rock to get multiple hits was Matt Constance (2). The loss dropped the team's record to 2-1.

Game Highlights:

Another game filled with mental mistakes evened the Freshman Rock's record at .500. Bright spots for the Rocks included two hits a piece for Markus Olind and Zach Bird. The team next takes the field at Novi Tuesday with hopes of better results.

Game Highlights:

     After multiple rainouts and cancellations, the Rocks' 13 hit attack resulted in a six run victory over the South Lyon Lions. Leading the way offensively were Tyler Stewart and Brett Ramirez, who each had three hits. Stewart also scored three runs, with two more coming from Markus Olind and Matt Constance.   Ramirez added three RBI, while Olind chipped in two. Robby Turner, Drew Miller, and Zach Bird combined on the pitching for the Freshman Rocks, as the team improved their record to 3-2.

Game Highlights:

Markus Olind pitched a gem, going all five innings and limiting the Lions to three runs (none of which were earned) on three hits. Olind helped his own cause with three runs scored and two hits. Matt Constance and Scott Theisen each had two hits as well, while RBI came off the bat of Zach Bird (3), Theisen (2), and Brett Ramirez (1). The Freshman Rocks improve to 4-2. Great job guys!

Game Highlights:

The Freshman Rocks improved to 5-2 on a walk-off, texas league, RBI single by Matt Constance that scored Tyler Stewart, giving the team a 5-4 victory. The Rocks were down 4-3 going into the bottom of the sixth, when Brett Ramirez hit a solo home run to tie the game. Colin Rooney and Markus Olind also chipped in, each having a hit, run scored, and RBI. On the mound, Scott Theisen battled through 4 2/3 innings, giving up only two earned runs. Matt Constance took the win in relief, throwing 2 1/3 scoreless innings to finish out the game. Way to go Rocks!

Game Highlights:

A rough fourth inning helped drop the Freshman Rocks to 5-3 on the season. The boys lone run came in the first, when Tyler Stewart, after tripling, scored on Markus Olind's double. The Freshman Rocks will look for redemption Tuesday at home against Walled Lake Northern.

Game Highlights:

     The Freshman Rocks let one slip away today, losing a one run lead in the top of the fifth and falling in extra innings 10-5. The Rock hits came off the bats of Tyler Stewart, Markus Olind, Matt Constance, and Zack Bird. Bird also added two RBI's, with Farouk Barakat, Scott Theisen, and Brett Ramirez each chipping in one.  This drops the Freshman Rocks to 5-4 on the season.

Game Highlights:

     Another victory in their last at bat (the 3rd of the season) put the Freshman Rocks back on track! The offense was led by Zack Bird, who had two RBI and three hits, including the game winner. Tyler Stewart scored two runs and Scott Theisen contributed as well with a hit, run, and RBI. Brett Ramirez got the win in relief, striking out the side in his one inning of work. The Freshman Rocks are now 6-4 and take on Milford on Thursday at home.

Tyler Stewart and Markus Olind kept the Mavericks off balance all afternoon, combining on a one hitter and striking out six. The offense was sparked by Stewart's two runs scored, as well as by Farouk Barakat and Matt Constance, who each had a hit, run scored, and RBI. This improves the Freshman Rocks record to 7-4.

Game Highlights:

By far the best offensive output of the season for the Freshman Rocks led to an 18-3, mercy shortened victory. The Rocks were paced by Tyler Stewart, Dan Fuhst, and Matt Constance. Stewart contributed with four hits, three runs scored, and seven RBI! Fuhst and Constance each had three hits, three runs scored, and two RBI. Drew Miller also scored three times, while Colin Rooney scored twice. Zack Bird continued his hot streak at the plate, with two hits and three RBI. On the mound, Robby Turner gave the Rocks two innings, giving up one run and walking none. The Freshman Rocks improved to 8-4...GREAT JOB GUYS!

The Freshman Rocks' offense was held at bay today by the Plymouth pitching. The only hits came off the bats of Tyler Stewart (triple) and Matt Constance (single). Stewart scored the team's only run on a sacrifice fly by Markus Olind. The Freshman Rocks drop to 8-5 and will take on South Lyon East at home on Tuesday.

A strong showing by the Freshman Rocks was led by the pitching of Robby Turner, Markus Olind, and Drew Miller, who combined on a one hitter. The offense was sparked by Zack Bird, Zak Widlak, and Colin Rooney with two hits a piece. Rooney and Bird each had three RBI, while Matt Constance drove in two. Bird, Widlak, and Tyler Stewart each scored two runs as well as the Freshman Rocks improved to 9-5.

Game Highlights:

The Freshman Rocks pitching staff held South Lyon East to three hits, but walks, errors, and mental mistakes kept them in the game. Despite a six run fifth inning that tied the game, the boys perservered and won in their last at bat (fourth time this year) on a walk-off, ground ball with eyes by Farouk Barakat that scored Scott Theisen. Offensively, Theisen led the team with three hits, while Zak Widlak, Tyler Stewart, Matt Constance, and Brett Ramirez each added two. Ramirez and Widlak scored two runs a piece as well. Theisen scored three times. The win improves the Freshman Rocks to 10-5 as they prepare to face cross-campus rival Plymouth in a DH on Thursday. Go Rocks!

Eleven of the twelve Freshman Rocks got hits as the team pounded the Cats in the nightcap by way of a four innning mercy. The hit parade was led by Brett Ramirez, Dan Fuhst, and Tyler Stewart, each having three hits. Markus Olind, Matt Constance, Farouk Barakat, and Robby Turner had two hits a piece. The team is now off until Tuesday, when they will take on Walled Lake Western in a single game. 11-6...way to go Rocks!

Game Highlights:

     The Freshman Rocks played their most complete came of the season today. Solid pitching paced the effort. Markus Olind limited Walled Lake Western to two hits and struck out four, after which Matt Constance pitched a 1,2,3 5th inning for his first save. Constance got a little help in the 5th with a diving catch from Scott Theisen in center field for the last out in the fifth. Tyler Stewart dazzled at short all game long.

     Offensively, the Rocks got one hit a piece from Stewart, Olind, Theisen, Zack Bird, Brett Ramirez, Drew Miller, and Colin Rooney. Stewart also scored two runs and Bird had two more RBI. The Freshman Rocks are now 12-6 and will play Canton on Wednesday.

     A tough loss for the Freshman Rocks as the pitching just couldn't tame the Bulldogs' bats.  The Rocks' offense was paced by Brett Ramirez, who had two hits and two RBI's. Tyler Stewart also added a triple and a run scored. The loss drops the team to 12-7 on the season.

Game Highlights:

     The Freshman Rocks finished their season exactly the way they began it...with a dominating pitching performance from Matt Constance. Constance scattered three hits, shutting out the Bulldogs and striking out 11. He also sparked the offense with a two RBI double in the third and a run scored. Markus Olind finished off a fine season with two hits, while Drew Miller, Zach Bird, and Brett Ramirez chipped in one each. Ramirez added two RBI for the Rocks. Tyler Stewart scored twice, with Ramirez and Bird adding a run scored a piece.

     And so concludes the Freshman Rocks season with a record of 13-7 and a .650 winning percentage. Way to go boys!!!
